PROGRAM AND PROJECT EVALUATION

Evaluation is an integral feature of good program and project management, whether the goal is continuous improvement, stronger accountability or data driven decision making. Evaluation impact is seen when an evaluation leads to a change in the program being evaluated, the host organization, or the people involved in the evaluation or the program

The reasons for conducting program evaluation can be grouped into one of four main categories:

For Project Improvement - Evaluation creates a feedback loop so you are regularly reflecting on evaluation findings and using them to fine-tune your activities and deepen your project’s impact.

For Project Dissemination and Advocacy - Promote your project or program by sharing what you’ve learned with colleagues and others who can help advance your mission.

For Project Accountability - Fulfill the requirements of informing advisors, funders, and supporters of your project’s progress and impact.

For Project Planning - Use evaluation findings about past work to identify opportunities and plan your next endeavor.

Evaluation can take many forms, from elaborate to quite simple, but the goal is the same, to provide evidence of the impact of your work.

Outcomes Consulting Services will collaborate with you on the development and implementation of the evaluation process that will meet your project or program needs.
